International Minor Wind Offshore

HAN University of Applied Sciences and OutSmart a Dutch company specialized in the Wind Industry have developed a new unique international program.           MINOR WIND OFFSHORE Bachelor programmes consist of a major and a minor. During their major, students develop the necessary knowledge and skills for their future professions. A large part of the programme is spent analysing and solving problems in groups. It also includes a work placement of at least half a year. The minor is a one-semester course that stimulates students to deepen or broaden their knowledge. HAN and OutSmart broaden the knowledge of students so they are ready to become wind professionals! The wind energy market is growing rapidly and employment related to wind energy has also gone up strikingly in recent years. European targets for the next two decades are set high meaning employment in the wind industry will even grow faster. Already at this moment the wind industry has repeatedly reported an acute shortage of wind professionals! The program that the HAN and OutSmart have setup is around the development, construction and operation of an offshore wind farm. The duration will be 19 weeks in which the student has to work on his portfolio and will be assessed in the last week of the programme. A half year work placement is part of the programme and can be followed in advance or finalising the minor programme. The HAN and OutSmart maintain close ties with the professional field of the wind industry. So its graduates will be very successful in the wind market.
